Communication
Roles: communicator, interlocutor, message, channel, meaning, context
The exchange of meaning between agents through language, gesture, and other symbolic systems. Communication involves not just the transmission of content but the collaborative construction of understanding between participants. As a target domain, it is overwhelmingly structured by the conduit metaphor — sending, receiving, packaging, and delivering — which highlights transfer while obscuring the interpretive and social dimensions of the process.
